Accademia Costume & Moda reinforces its position as a leading international fashion school through a prestigious Industry Project developed with the support of Swarovski and Goretti, as part of the Master in Alta Moda, Fashion Design.
The project offered students a valuable opportunity to engage with one of the most iconic global brands, renowned for its ability to merge heritage, innovation and contemporary vision. As specialists in crystal creation, Swarovski has long maintained a close relationship with designers and fashion houses, contributing to the evolution of modern elegance and illuminating red carpets, film premieres and international cultural events.
Entitled “Pop Icons”, the project invited students to translate the Swarovski universe into a Haute Couture garment, conceived as a one-of-a-kind piece capable of expressing the brand’s identity through a renewed creative language. The aim went beyond aesthetics, focusing on the development of a personal yet brand-conscious vision, able to balance research, experimentation and respect for established aesthetic codes.
The design process followed a rigorous professional methodology, combining in-depth brand analysis with personal research on innovation and sustainability. Conceptual thinking was transformed into tangible form through the study of volumes, embellishment, materials and colour, resulting in a precise and codified image aligned with the standards of the contemporary Haute Couture industry.
The selected and realised look was designed by Ilaria Bianchini, student of the Master in Alta Moda, Fashion Design. Her project stood out for its ability to synthesise conceptual depth, technical excellence of Goretti and brand coherence, translating Swarovski’s language of light into a couture creation that enhances individuality and movement.
Industry Projects such as this one are a core element of the educational philosophy of the Master in Alta Moda, Fashion Design at Accademia Costume & Moda. Through direct collaboration with leading fashion brands, students develop advanced design skills, professional methodology and strategic awareness, building a strong portfolio aligned with industry expectations.
The Master is designed for aspiring designers who wish to work in Haute Couture, luxury fashion and international creative studios, combining cultural knowledge, craftsmanship and contemporary relevance. A programme that prepares students to shape the future of fashion with vision, precision and identity.
