Our BA in Fashion Business: Fashion Product System students have completed their Industry Project in collaboration with GIA BORGHINI, the Italian brand internationally recognised for its contemporary approach to luxury footwear and its ability to combine design research, innovation and Italian craftsmanship.
Following the Launch Brief and Mid Revision, students presented the final outcome of their projects to Miguel Mateos Rodriguez, Head Designer at GIA BORGHINI, showcasing strategic proposals developed in response to a real industry brief while addressing the challenges of an international luxury brand.
Led by Project Leader Diego Fornero, the Industry Project challenged students to work as fashion business professionals, identifying new opportunities for brand development through an approach that combined market analysis, brand strategy, product development and communication.
During the Final Presentation, each student presented a comprehensive project, explaining their strategic decisions through brand positioning analysis, competitive landscape research, target audience identification and proposals for product line extensions aligned with GIA BORGHINI’s brand identity.
Particular attention was given to building a brand ecosystem capable of engaging contemporary consumers through an integrated vision of product, communication and brand experience. The projects explored themes including category development, branding, launch strategies, customer experience and future growth opportunities, demonstrating the students’ ability to translate research and analysis into strategic and commercially relevant proposals.
The Final Presentation also provided an invaluable opportunity for direct dialogue with the GIA BORGHINI team, who shared professional feedback and industry insights, giving students a deeper understanding of the decision-making processes behind the development of an international luxury brand.
Industry Projects such as this reflect Accademia Costume & Moda‘s educational approach, built on close collaboration with leading companies and industry professionals to provide students with real-world briefs and project-based learning experiences.
For the students of the BA in Fashion Business: Fashion Product System, collaborating with GIA BORGHINI represented an important opportunity to strengthen the strategic, managerial and creative skills required to navigate today’s fashion business landscape.
Our sincere thanks go to the entire GIA BORGHINI team for their generosity, expertise and continued support throughout every stage of the Industry Project.
