It’s much more. For me, the Fendi FF logo is a code that is part of our DNA. It is a guarantee seal“, underlined Silvia Venturini Fendi, creative director for men, children and women’s accessories. “The Fendi FF logo represents a very important value: therefore, it is often present in our collections. It is not just a logo: it is the story of a fashion house that will soon turn into a century, and rests on values ​​such as tradition, passion and love”. These words are key to understand and read the he world of references of the brand.

The objective of this project was to express the ability to be professional designers, putting at the service of a Brand one’s own identity translating it accurately. Students were exposed to one among the most important brands worldwide and they are expected to demonstrate a very high level of commitment and professionality, creativity and in depth understanding of the brand’s roots and intention both in terms of products and communication.

In this project the visit to the archive in Rome was a moment of reflection and check on the details and to develop design hypothesis generated by the basic research focusing on the Brand iconic and historical designs. The students also had the opportunity to visit Fendi’s footwear factory in Porto San Giorgio and leather goods factory in Bagno a Ripoli. The visit to Lineapelle will support further in defining the project in terms of materials and construction techniques with stronger awareness
