Introduction

Design contemporary Menswear, combining creative and technical skills with an in-depth understanding of the production chain.

Menswear is changing. Learn to design its future.

Menswear is a constantly evolving system where culture, identity, tailoring, innovation and industry come together. The Master in Menswear Design, developed in partnership with Brioni, is an advanced programme for those who want to deepen their understanding of menswear design and develop a contemporary approach to Fashion Design.

You start with research and take it through to the project. You explore the evolution of menswear codes, investigate materials and new technologies, deepen your knowledge of pattern cutting and tailoring, and learn how to turn an idea into a coherent collection.

Throughout the programme, you work on research and collection development projects, bringing together pattern cutting, materials, digital technologies, visual communication and project strategies. Industry Projects also give you the opportunity to work on real briefs, connecting your creative identity with the codes and requirements of the market.

The partnership with Brioni takes you directly into the Maison’s design and tailoring culture. During the Master, you also take part in an immersive experience at Brioni’s headquarters in Penne, Abruzzo, working closely with its Master Tailors and exploring pattern cutting, tailoring construction and product development. It is an important opportunity to connect the classroom with manufacturing, design with craftsmanship, research with the real production chain.

A full-time year in Rome, combining classes, workshops, seminars, Industry Projects and a curricular internship, gives you the creative, technical and strategic skills to develop an independent and personal final project.
