Introduction
One year to explore fashion, discover your talent and choose the path that truly speaks to you.
The Foundation Course at Accademia Costume & Moda is a one-year preparatory programme designed for those who want to enter the world of fashion, explore its different languages and discover which direction to take in their academic journey. One year to explore, research and design, constantly bringing theory and practice into dialogue to understand the fashion system in all its complexity: from design and communication to management.
Through cultural and project-based subjects, workshops and practical activities, you will become familiar with industry tools and methodologies and begin to develop your own way of looking at and designing fashion. Anthropology, History of Photography, Phenomenology of Contemporary Arts, Cultural Marketing, Fashion Design, Anatomical Drawing and Fashion Styling and Setting become starting points for exploring your interests, developing your skills and recognising your strengths.
The Foundation Course is designed to turn uncertainty into awareness: you do not need to know which path to choose yet; you need the space to discover it. Throughout the year, you can explore the different areas of study offered at ACM and approach the choice of your three-year programme with greater preparation, a clearer direction and a concrete vision of what you want to become.
At the end of the programme, students who meet the eligibility requirements can gain direct access to the Bachelor of Arts Diploma programmes at Accademia Costume & Moda. For international students, the Foundation Course also includes an Italian language module aimed at reaching B2 level, which is a requirement for admission to academic programmes.
