Fashion Business: Fashion Product System

Qualification
Bachelor of Arts

Introduction

Fashion is creativity, but it is also strategy. Learn how to turn ideas and products into brands that can thrive in the market.

There is much more behind a collection than what you see.

The Bachelor of Arts in Fashion Business: Fashion Product System takes you inside the fashion industry to understand how a product is created, how a brand is built and what it takes to bring it to market. The programme brings together fashion culture, product, business, marketing and communication, helping you understand the fashion system and learn how to navigate it.

You start with the product and learn to follow it throughout its entire journey: from research to collection, from materials to supply chain, from positioning to market, from buying to distribution. You study consumer behaviour, analyse trends and markets, develop marketing and communication strategies and discover how a creative identity can become a recognisable brand.

Theory is constantly put into practice. Through company projects, workshops and practical activities, you work on real briefs and situations, learning to collaborate closely with designers, creatives and industry professionals. Because within the fashion system, ideas never exist in isolation: they need people who can transform them into products, strategies and experiences.

Over the three years, you also explore innovation, new materials, sustainability, retail, merchandising, supply chain, events and new business models. You learn to read market changes not simply to follow them, but to understand where they can open up new possibilities.

In your third year, you begin to bring all these tools together and build your professional profile. You work on merchandising, brand design, communication and distribution strategies, learning how to present your ideas effectively.

Because working in Fashion Business means being at the point where creativity, product and market meet. And learning how to turn a good idea into something that can truly become a project, a brand, a future.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

No. You do not need to come from a fashion or business background. ACM students come from a wide range of educational backgrounds. What matters is your curiosity about the fashion world, your desire to understand how a brand works and your interest in everything that happens where creativity, product and market meet.

Fashion Design is explored, but the programme is not designed to train you as a Fashion Designer. You learn to understand the fashion product, from collections to supply chain, from materials to production processes, through to merchandising, buying and distribution. The aim is to prepare professionals who can work closely with designers and creatives and transform ideas into products, strategies and projects that can reach the market.

At the end of the three-year programme, you will receive a Bachelor of Arts Diploma, recognised by the Italian Ministry of University and Research (MUR) and equivalent to a three-year university degree in Italy.

The programme is taught in Italian in Rome and in English in Milan.
