Fashion Styling and Setting
Learn to see fashion as a whole. In this course, you will learn to read and interpret brands, collections and contemporary trends, starting with elements such as brand identity and language, lines and proportions, colour and fashion vocabulary. You will discover how classics are born and reinterpreted, how innovation is changing the industry and why sustainability is now an integral part of the design process. You will also become familiar with the key players and contexts within the fashion system, from fashion calendars and trade fairs to events and industry gatherings, helping you begin to navigate a complex, fast-moving and constantly evolving system.
Cultural Anthropology
To understand fashion, you also need to look at the world around it. This course introduces you to the tools of sociology and anthropology, helping you understand the transformations taking place in contemporary society and how they influence fashion, its languages and the way we experience it. You will explore memory and cultural identity, communication and representation, cultural appropriation and reference, sustainability and the transformation of production processes. You will also investigate new models of consumption and the role of the media in an increasingly interconnected, transcultural and glocal society.
Iconography and Anatomical Drawing
Before you draw fashion, learn to observe. This course introduces you to the fundamentals of drawing and representing the human body. You will learn how to construct a figure, understand its proportions and structure, and develop a more confident and conscious visual language. These are the foundations you need to approach the representation of different projects and begin transforming what you observe into your own visual language.
Fashion Design
From idea to fashion illustration, from moodboard to project. In this course, you will learn the fundamentals of visualising a fashion project and discover how to give shape to your ideas through fashion illustration, colour and materials boards, and moodboards. By experimenting with different techniques and tools, you will build your first portfolio of studies, documenting your journey, the skills you have acquired and your approach to fashion design.
Phenomenology of Contemporary Arts
Fashion does not exist in isolation. It speaks to its time. This course helps you understand fashion as a cultural phenomenon and explore how it relates to the time in which we live. Through languages and references from contemporary art, social media, cinema and advertising, you will learn to recognise the connections between fashion, images, culture and society, while developing a more conscious perspective on the present.
Fundamentals of Cultural Marketing
Behind every brand there is a story, but also a strategy. This course introduces the key concepts and tools of marketing, with a focus on fashion, luxury and beauty. You will discover how a brand builds its identity, finds its place in the market and develops a relationship with its audience. It is your first step towards understanding the business side of fashion and the mechanisms that transform a creative identity into a project capable of connecting with people.
Creative Writing
Find the words to tell the story in your head. This course introduces you to writing through reading, analysis and practical exercises. You will learn to observe language, develop an idea and transform it into a narrative, while working on your ability to express yourself both orally and in writing. A journey into the art of writing, designed to help you experiment and find a voice that is more personal, precise and confident.
