RomeThe Bachelor of Arts in Cinema & Filmmaking: Media Design & Multimedia Arts is addressed to students with a minimum B2 level of knowledge of Italian language and holding a secondary school diploma or other equivalent study title obtained after at 12 years of education and allowing access to first-cycle academic courses in the international education system of reference.
In order to maintain the high quality of the learning experience, the Bachelor of Arts in Cinema & Filmmaking: Media Design & Multimedia Arts observes a limited-enrolment policy. Applicants are required to pass an admission test and an interview aimed at evaluating the interest and aptitude towards the subject areas of the course of choice.
1st YEAR – INTRODUCTION
During the 1st Academic Year students learn through intergraded subjects in Audio-visual Languages, Multimedia Art, Creative Writing and Multimedia Design. The theoretical preparation is alternated with video, audio and editing techniques, workshops as well as the use of the main software of video compositing and digital image processing.
2nd YEAR – NARRATION, MEDIA AND ART
During the 2nd Academic Year students will be involved in an in-depth study of the more technical aspect of media design. The audio-visual module of the course continues together with the complementary Sound Design and Direction to continue exploring the digital world of Digital Applications for Visual Arts, Media Interaction Design and Digital Storytelling with Multimedia Languages and 3D Animation. These areas will be also analysed by History of Contemporary Art, Sociology, Aesthetics of Media and Screenplay.
3rd YEAR – FILMMAKING AND MULTIMEDIA ART
The 3rd Academic Year has an experimental and individual approach useful for the realization of a personal artistic curriculum which represents a key factor to enter the job market. The conclusion of the course is the completion of the Direction subject through the application of innovative techniques to media, films and visual arts.
