RomeThe Specialization Course in 3d Draping aims at training designers with a specific technical competence. The course is focused on the acquisition and replication of moulage also called draping, a technique widely used in Haute Couture for the creation of garments without the need of the traditional pattern making but shaping the dress directly on the dummy.
The objectives of the course are aimed at enabling students to create prototypes through a direct approach to shapes, volumes and fabric in order to make a concrete and innovative fashion design project.
Specialization Courses of Accademia Costume & Moda are designed to provide a fast and focused education in specific areas of Fashion. The attendance on Saturdays with 8 hours of classes allows also working students to concentrate in the study path by alternating theory and practice in a cohesive and focused approach.
The Specialization Course in 3d Draping is addressed to graduates, graduands and professionals who wish to learn one of the most stimulating and creative techniques of Haute Couture and broaden their preparation with an approach directed to innovation and research.
In order to maintain the high quality of the learning experience, the Specialization Course in 3d Draping observes a limited-enrolment policy. To be admitted in the course, applicants are required to submit their resume, cover letter and participate in a motivational interview.
At the end of the Specialization Course in 3D Draping students will be able to work on a design project.
