PAOLO SCOPPOLA
PAOLO SCOPPOLA

Paolo Scoppola is an interactive media artist and performer, working across interactive installations, audiovisual performances, and projects connected to the contemporary scene. His works have been presented in international institutional and cultural contexts, including the ArtScience Museum in Singapore and the Art Museum in Shenzhen, and are situated at the intersection of image, sound, and digital languages.

Over the course of his career, he has collaborated with research bodies and institutions such as the National Institute for Nuclear Physics, the Museum of Science in Trento, Boston University, and KAUST University, developing projects that integrate art, science, and technology. In parallel, he has created installations and productions for communication and brand experience, collaborating with international brands such as Gore-Tex and Barilla.

His practice also includes performances and projects for theatre, dance, and the contemporary stage, in which interactive audiovisual systems engage with the body, space, and dramaturgy. In this field, he has developed collaborations with musicians and performers, including the pianist Danilo Rea, in a series of works that combine music with interactive visual environments.

His research focuses on the relationship between perception, interaction, and image construction, with particular attention to the relationship between the artwork and the audience, and to the design of interactive experiences.

Alongside his artistic practice, he is also active in higher education, teaching in the fields of interaction design, digital media, and audiovisual languages, with experience of teaching and leading workshops in international academic contexts.
