Deanna Veroni Ferretti: An Evening of Dialogue and Inspiration

On 12 February, our Rome Campus in the Esquilino district hosted a truly special evening dedicated to creativity, vision and the excellence of Italian knitwear.

The Special Conversation welcomed Deanna Ferretti Veroni, founder of Miss Deanna and Modateca Deanna, widely recognised as a central figure in the Italian and international knitwear landscape. Since 1971, she has driven innovation within the Emilia-Romagna knitwear district, collaborating with some of Europe’s most renowned designers and transforming their creative visions into iconic garments. Among her most significant collaborations was her partnership with Kenzo Takada, which marked a defining chapter in contemporary fashion history.

Moderated by our President Lupo Lanzara, the conversation offered a compelling and personal insight into Ferretti Veroni’s life and career, highlighting the essential dialogue between craftsmanship, industry and creative intuition. The event became a meaningful opportunity for exchange between generations, professionals and students, reaffirming the importance of knowledge transmission within the fashion system.

The evening concluded with the screening of the fashion film by Griffè – La Revue, directed by Anthony Gouj, winner of the Best Director Award at the London Fashion Film Festival 2025. The film introduced a contemporary perspective on visual storytelling, bridging heritage and innovation.
