INDUSTRY TALKS WITH PURO AND MAD HOUSE | MASTER IN FASHION STYLING

Our MA in Fashion Styling, coordinated by Cristiana Rivellino Santella, recently welcomed two leading professionals from the contemporary creative industry: Gabriele Savino, co-founder of PURO, and Alessandro Innocenti from Mad House.

These Industry Talks offered students a valuable opportunity to engage directly with practitioners working across fashion, visual communication, and contemporary culture, gaining first-hand insight into the evolving landscape of creative direction and image-making.

PURO, the creative studio founded by Gabriele Savino and Luca Gardella, operates at the intersection of film, music, fashion and culture, developing visual narratives through direction, production and creative strategy. Their work spans collaborations with internationally recognised artists and brands, building complex visual worlds where storytelling and aesthetics merge into a single language.

Alongside this, Mad House, represented by Alessandro Innocenti, brings a contemporary perspective on fashion communication and creative production, exploring how ideas take shape through strategy, visual identity and cultural relevance.

During the meetings, students explored how today’s fashion imagery is no longer limited to styling alone, but extends into creative direction, storytelling, brand identity and immersive visual experiences.

The dialogue with industry professionals allowed them to understand how creative concepts are developed, produced and translated into impactful narratives across different media.

These encounters represent a key part of the learning experience within the Master in Fashion Styling, where education is continuously enriched through direct exchange with professionals actively shaping the industry.

By engaging with contemporary studios and creative companies, students are encouraged to broaden their perspective, develop critical thinking and strengthen their ability to interpret the cultural and visual codes of today’s fashion system.

The Master in Fashion Styling atAccademia Costume & Moda is designed to train a new generation of creative professionals capable of building visual narratives that connect fashion, culture and communication in a rapidly evolving industry.

Because understanding fashion styling today means learning how to design images — and how to build worlds around them.
