“Pure Essentials”, designed by Aleksandar Milev under the guidance of Project Leader Gigi Vezzola, explores a modern, stereotype-free femininity by offering a sophisticated and experimental wardrobe dedicated to curvy women who wish to feel represented, sensual and empowered. The starting point was understanding the real desires of the target audience: garments that do not conceal the body but rather accompany and enhance it with respect, balance and character.
Building upon these foundations, the research evolved into a visual and material narrative inspired by the work of Yves Klein. His use of colour – particularly his iconic monochromatic blue – and his reflection on the female body as a means of expression deeply influenced the design process. The silhouettes are crafted to celebrate the body, through knitwear that highlights form without restriction.
The textures, inspired by the tactile surfaces of Klein’s paintings, take shape in devoré, irregular fringing, sheer effects and stretch yarns. Colour becomes the protagonist: Klein blue dominates the palette, contrasted with golden accents applied through thermal foil on knitwear, evoking light, strength and a sense of sacredness.
The collection presents a range of versatile garments, designed to be mixed and matched throughout the day. Looks that alternate between experimentation and wearability, conceived for a woman who is self-aware, bold and refined – a woman who embraces fashion as a means of expression without compromising her authenticity.
