The Young Talents for Sustainable Thinking project was introduced as part of the activities related to the exhibition Sustainable Thinking, organized by Museo Salvatore Ferragamo (12 April 2019 – 8 March 2020). It was aimed at eight international Fashion Schools, including Accademia Costume & Moda.
The students were called on to produce prototypes on the theme of sutainability and recycling, using materials which Salvatore Ferragamo company donate to the individual schools, supplemento with recycled ones, with a view to circular creativity.
Patchwork in the technique requested for this project. It was developed over the past centures Amon American Pioneers, who recycled the best parts of theirs clothes or recovered cuttings from home tailoring. It is an art rather than a technique, which allows to freely express creativity.
A special panel of judges including representatives of the Company, Industry experts and fashion journalists judged the design.
