Our Master in Design degli Accessori<\/strong> students had the opportunity to present their projects at Ferragamo\u2019s headquarters in Osmannoro<\/strong>, marking the conclusion of the Industry Project<\/strong> developed in collaboration with the Brand.<\/p>\n

Sophisticated Every Day Tote Bag: The Project with Ferragamo<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Industry Project, entitled \u201cSophisticated Every Day Tote Bag\u201d<\/strong>, challenged students from the Master in Design degli Accessori<\/strong><\/a> to develop creative proposals in response to a real-world brief set by Ferragamo<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Under the guidance of Project Leader<\/strong> Luigi Mulas Debois<\/strong><\/a>, supported by Assistant Paolo Rinaldi, students worked on the development of a sophisticated, contemporary tote bag<\/strong>, designed to reinterpret the Brand\u2019s aesthetic codes while responding to the demands of everyday life.<\/p>\n

The project began with an exploration of Ferragamo\u2019s identity and research into its Archive, examining the relationship between artisanal heritage, innovation, materials and functionality<\/strong>. Particular attention was given to luxury leather goods, material experimentation and the integration of distinctive hardware and branding elements.<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The Final Presentation at Ferragamo\u2019s Headquarters in Osmannoro<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Following an initial review with the Brand\u2019s professionals, the students behind the most outstanding projects were selected to present their proposals directly at Ferragamo\u2019s headquarters in Osmannoro<\/strong>, near Florence.<\/p>\n

The Final Presentation took place before representatives of Ferragamo\u2019s Design and Merchandising Departments<\/strong>, in the presence of:<\/p>\n

– James Ferragamo<\/strong><\/a>, Chief Product Officer and Member of the Board of Directors of Salvatore Ferragamo S.p.A.;<\/p>\n

– Andrea Renieri<\/strong><\/a>, Head Designer of Women\u2019s and Men\u2019s Leather Goods;<\/p>\n

– Francesca Maltinti<\/strong><\/a>, Senior Designer of Women\u2019s and Men\u2019s Leather Goods;<\/p>\n

– Lisa Giommetti<\/strong><\/a>, Global Merchandising Director Women\u2019s Leather Goods.<\/p>\n

An exceptional opportunity for students to showcase their work, articulate their creative and design decisions, and engage directly with professionals involved in collection development and product strategy.<\/p>\n

This dialogue between creativity, design and merchandising<\/strong> offered students valuable insight into the processes through which a creative concept evolves into an accessory that embodies a Brand\u2019s identity.<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Bridging Education and Industry<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The collaboration with Ferragamo reinforces the importance of Industry Projects within<\/strong> Accademia Costume & Moda\u2019s<\/strong><\/a> educational approach<\/strong>, which brings together academic education, creative experimentation and professional expertise.<\/p>\n

Through experiences such as this, students gain first-hand exposure to the demands of the luxury industry, developing a thoughtful approach to design that combines aesthetic research, product knowledge and commercial awareness.<\/p>\n
