Our Master in Accessories Design<\/strong><\/a> students have completed the Industry Project<\/strong> developed in collaboration with Benedetta Bruzziches<\/strong><\/a>, an Italian luxury accessories brand renowned for its distinctive creative language, material experimentation and ability to transform handbags into design objects.<\/p>\n

The Final Presentation<\/strong>, during which students presented their projects directly to Benedetta Bruzziches<\/strong><\/a>, Founder & Creative Director of the brand<\/strong>, marked the culmination of a journey of research, experimentation and design development. Throughout the project, students had the opportunity to engage with the aesthetic identity and creative processes of a brand operating in the luxury accessories sector<\/strong>.<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Material Duality in Contemporary Accessories: The Project Concept<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Led by Project Leader Luigi Mulas De Bois<\/strong>, with the support of Project Assistant Paolo Rinaldi, the Industry Project, entitled \u00abMaterial Duality in Contemporary Accessories\u00bb<\/strong>, explored the relationship between seemingly opposing materials, forms and functions.<\/p>\n

At the heart of the brief were two defining elements of the Benedetta Bruzziches universe: leather and crystal mesh<\/strong>. Two materials with contrasting characteristics, brought together within a coherent creative vision capable of interpreting the tension between structure and fluidity, everyday life and the dreamlike, functionality and ornamentation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Through this exploration, students developed individual capsule collections<\/strong>, investigating the relationship between brand identity, design innovation and contemporary aesthetics.<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n

From Research to Final Presentation: The Students\u2019 Capsule Collections<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

During the Final Presentation<\/strong>, students showcased the outcomes of their creative journeys, illustrating the evolution of their concepts, material experimentation and design solutions developed throughout the Industry Project.<\/p>\n

The collections explored different interpretations of contemporary accessories through daywear and evening bags<\/strong>, characterised by meticulous research into silhouettes, proportions, construction details, finishes and surface treatments.<\/p>\n

Alongside accessories designed for everyday use and special occasions, the project also involved the development of objects d\u2019art<\/strong>: sculptural bags crafted from metal or acrylic, conceived as objects with a strong expressive and conceptual identity, transcending the purely functional dimension of accessories.<\/p>\n

The Final Presentation provided students with a valuable opportunity to discuss and reflect on their work, highlighting their ability to translate a creative brief into structured, distinctive proposals aligned with the positioning of a luxury brand.<\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n

The Value of Industry Projects at Accademia Costume & Moda<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The collaboration with Benedetta Bruzziches further demonstrates the importance of Industry Projects within the educational approach of the Master in Accessories Design<\/strong> at Accademia Costume & Moda<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Through direct engagement with industry professionals, students gain first-hand insight into creative and design processes that reflect the realities of the fashion industry, developing skills that combine research, craftsmanship, experimentation, strategic thinking and market awareness<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

This experience strengthens the connection between education and industry, supporting emerging designers as they develop their own creative language and gain a deeper understanding of the challenges shaping contemporary luxury accessories design<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
