She will also support ACM in the<strong> development of new industry <\/strong>and<strong> academic partnerships<\/strong>, both <strong>nationally<\/strong> and<strong> internationally<\/strong>. ACM is already working with more than 80 companies such as Maison | Design Studios and Makers (Italian manufacturering | Made in Italy). As a result of these deep industry relationships, ACM is continuously improving the quality of its academic offer leading to job placement rates close to 90% (as a % of total student population), equipping its students with a strong <strong>cultural platform<\/strong>, <strong>research &#038; design knowledge<\/strong>, <strong>technical competence <\/strong>and <strong>industry relations<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks to her <strong>long-time experience<\/strong> in Fashion Education, <strong>Barbara<\/strong> will have a <strong>key role<\/strong> in <strong>managing <\/strong>the existing ACM corpus of projects and contents, and to <strong>push forward<\/strong> and <strong>enhance <\/strong>the<strong> didactic quality<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cAccademia is about <strong>People<\/strong>. My aim is to integrate these and other themes to the DNA of ACM, maintaining continuity in the existing vision, <strong>working together with an excellent team<\/strong> in a constant progression of contents, processes and projects\u201d,<\/em> <strong><u>Barbara Trebitsch, Director of Academic Programmes ACM.<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Barbara Trebitsch<\/strong> worked as Senior Head of Academic Projects at Domus Academy and NABA, and Dean of Global Art and Design Academy (GADA) at East China Normal University of Shanghai, from 2016 to March 2018.<\/p>\n<p>She was head of the Fashion School of Domus Academy for 16 years, managing and planning the programmes for the Master\u2019s in Fashion Design, Accessories Design-Shoes, Leather goods and Jewellery, Fashion Styling and Visual Merchandising, Fashion Management, Luxury Brand Management. As Head of the Fashion School and Director of the Fashion Programmes at Domus Academy, she worked together with brands such as: Antonio Berardi, Costume National, Alessandro Dell\u2019Acqua, Damir Doma, Napapijri, Nike, 7 For All Mankind, Swarovski, Moncler, Salvatore Ferragamo, Versace, Vogue Italy, Timberland, Tod\u2019s Group, Stone Island, Swarovski. She is also member of the Academic Council of Ixel Moda (Latin-American academic association), of the Educational Board of Arts Thread and she is also in the Commission of experts who select candidates for the medal given by MAM Maestro d\u2019Arte e Mestiere (Fondazione Cologni dei Maestri d\u2019Arte).<\/p>\n<p>She took part to the selecting committee of Project Runway Italy.
