Overview & Learning Outcomes

The Bachelor of Arts in Cinema & Filmmaking: Media Design & Multimedia Arts was born from a partnership between the Accademia Costume & Moda and the research and training company Ars Academy Research. The project intends to fill the need for effective training and quality in filmmaking, TV production, multimedia communication, animation and visual arts.

The learning outcomes are aimed at preparing students from a cultural and technical point of view in order to allow them to work in an international job network.

Upon completion of the Bachelor of Arts in Cinema & Filmmaking: Media Design & Multimedia Arts students will be able to pursue a career as Directors, Game Designers, Screenwriters, Documentary Directors, Editors, Multimedia Author, Web-Series Author, Multimedia Communicator or Visual Artist.

The Bachelor of Arts in Cinema & Filmmaking: Media Design & Multimedia Arts is addressed to students with a minimum B2 level of knowledge of Italian language and holding a secondary school diploma or other equivalent study title obtained after at 12 years of education and allowing the access to first-cycle academic courses in the foreign education system of reference.

In order to maintain the high quality of the study experience, the Bachelor of Arts in Cinema & Filmmaking: Media Design & Multimedia Arts observes a limited-enrolment policy. Applicants are required to pass an admission test aimed at evaluating the interest and attitude towards the subject areas of the course of choice.


During the 1st Academic Year students attend courses in Audiovisual Languages, Multimedia Art, Creative Writing and Multimedia Design.The theoretical preparation is alternated with video, audio and editing techniques, workshops as well as the use of the main softwares of video compositing and digital image processing.



During the 2nd Academic Year students will be involved in an in-depth study of the more technical aspect of media design. The audiovisual module of the course continues together with the complementary Sound Design and Direction to continue exploring the digital world of Digital Applications for Visual Arts, Media Interaction Design and Digital Storytelling with Multimedia Languages and 3D Animation. These areas will be also analyzed by History of Contemporary Art, Sociology, Aesthetics of Media and Screenplay.



The 3rd Academic Year has an experimental and individual approach useful for the realization of a personal artistic curriculum which represents a key factor to enter the job market. The conclusion of the course is the completion of the Direction subject through the application of innovative techniques to media, films and visual arts.
