The Vocational Course in Fashion Design, coordinated by Alessia Vitti, aims to educate fashion designers with technical and design skills able to develop a complete collection with competence and knowledge.
The course helps to evaluate the market and consumer needs, to analyse fashion trends and correctly interpret the codes and identity of a brand. The approach and course methodology evolves through a variety of projects, allowing the students a profound knowledge on the industry and giving them the necessary competences to research, design and realize a contemporary fashion collection.
For the 2016/2017 edition, the students collaborated with two Italian excellence: MAX MARA with DONDI JERSEY.
The Course project simulates the production supply chain, research on materials and market trends, the analysis of new trends, design and technical development, product positioning and communication.
In relation to the starting level, at the end of this course students will be able to undertake a professional career in creative studies and in trend research, in product and style development and fulfil the various professional roles that exist in the fashion system, from designers to product managers and/or entrepreneurs themselves.
Undergraduates and graduate or professionals with a basic knowledge in the field and to those who aim at enhancing and completing their cultural and professional formation in the fashion industry, from design to manufacturing.
The course lasts about seven months. Attendance is set on Friday and Saturday from 9 am to 6 pm.
At the end of the Course the students will receive a Certificate of Attendance, credited by Accademia Costume & Moda. To receive the certificate it is compulsory to have attended at least 80% of the total amount of hours of the Program.

- Making of Final Project commissioned by an important fashion house (Haute Couture/ Prêt-à- Porter)
- Personal Portoflio creation and development, Pret a Porter, Menswear and Urban.
The Vocational Course has a limited number of places available in order to maintain the quality level of each student’s experience. Due to demand, candidates who would like to apply need to be admitted. The process includes an interview and cv presentation.
