The library of the Academy:
Records and Research Centre
The library of the Academy of Costume and Fashion is a highly specialised records and research centre with a patrimony of over 2000 volumes among which are rare works on the history of costume, fabric, fashion and jewellery.
The library has a complete collection of the most important magazines in the sector thanks to donations and acquisitions made down through the years. Irene Brin’s collection shows the love that bound her to the Academy. She passed on her entire Harper’s Bazaar collection to the Academy’s library.
The cataloguing of the Academy’s library is going to make the volumes available on-line. The Academy is willing to collaborate regarding any municipal or regional cataloguing initiative.
The library is open to the public year round except for holidays. Admission is free.
Hours: from Monday to Friday from 9 am to 3 pm
