The Accademia Costume & Moda of Rome, in collaboration with Vogue Talents, will award a scholarship covering the total tuition fee of its Vocational Course in Fashion Communication (enrollment fees will be paid by the applicant).

The 9th edition of the course will begin on Friday, November 27th, 2015 and will held at the Accademia.

The course has limited enrollment (15 participants) and is aimed at undergraduates and graduates who wish to pursue a profession in the field of fashion communication, such as Fashion Editor, Press & PR Officer, Fashion Event Manager, Fashion Stylist, Fashion Marketing Executive.

Among the subjects featured in the course are Communication Strategies, Social Communication, Journalism, Publishing, Web 2.0, Styling, Public Relations and Press Office, Financial Services, Fashion Image, Fashion blogging, Fashion Photography and Fashion film. Students will be able to interpret styles, aesthetic, expression and communication codes of the different areas of fashion, by acquiring a deep knowledge on the various sectors that support the definition of a “product”.

Candidates must submit their curriculum vitae together with a cover letter and select their piece of work, by choosing one of the following options:

  • review of a collection SS 2016
  • preparation of a press release of a collection of an emerging designer (maximum 3,000 characters)
  • photo shoot with its mood board and description
  • fashion event project (presentation of a fashion show from a creative or organizational point of view).

The winner of the scholarship will be announced on Wednesday, November 11th 2015, and will be chosen by a Jury: Sara Maino (Senior Editor, Vogue and Italian Vogue Talents), Adrien Roberts (Academic Director, Accademia Costume & Moda) and Romina Toscano (Coordinator of the Vocational Course in Fashion Communication and of the Undergraduate Course in Fashion Editor, Styling & Communication, Accademia Costume & Moda).
