The Post graduate course in Fashion Design in collaboration with VALENTINO edition 2013/2014 – 2014/2015 aims at shaping and educating professionals, designers and specialists in the field of fashion with technical stylistic knowledge useful to design complete collections of models.
The educative project simulates the production chain, research on materials and market trends, the analysis of new trends, the whole design chain, technical development and communication of the product.
At the end of this course students will be able to undertake a professional career in creative studies and in trend research, in product and style development and fulfil the various professional roles that exist in the fashion system, from designers to product managers and art directors.
Maison Valentino contribution is: Presentation of VALENTINO and Couture, Prêt-à-Porter brief launch I Work in progress checks on Couture and Prêt-à-Porter projectsI Final Project presentation of the students: book/portfolio and protoypes.
The students will be able to start a professional career in the Fashion System both working for a company or starting their own labels.
This course is addressed to undergraduates and graduate or professionals with a basic knowledge in the field and to those who aim at enhancing and completing their cultural and professional formation in the fashion industry, from design to manufacturing.

The educational program is composed of theoretical lessons, seminars with professional experts in the field, design and research workshops, visits to major accessories events, fairs and exhibitions and ultimately the realisation of the final project which will be commissioned by important companies in the field (Haute Couture/Prêt a Porter).
This course is not recognised by the Ministry of Education, Universities and Research, hence it offers at the end the attendance Diploma of the Accademia that is certified by the School’s heritage and track record. That is why the students need to accomplish at least 80% of presence in class in order to obtain the Certificate.
