The Fashion Jewellery Designer works for the Luxury Industry, for the goldsmith world and for the Fashion System, creating and designing exclusive Accessories. The Designer converts the creative idea in production reality through a deep knowledge of all due procedures and the help of competences that stretch from tradition to innovation.

The aim of the Degree is to educate and train professional jewel designers providing them with knowledge on style development and methodology in the various areas of Jewel Design. This course will focus on Haute Couture and Industrial Jewellery, Accessorise and Wristwatch Design through the following procedures: Innovative paths on planning and design ratios I Understanding of descriptive languages I Identification of targets I Entrepreneurship tutoring I The use of heterogeneous and alternative materials and techniques (the students by combining theoretical and practical preparation carried out in internal and external laboratories, will reinterpret traditional materials and techniques).

The Jewel Design will be reinterpreted by creating a synergy with fashion, spotting trends and cultural inclinations in the jewellery contemporary scene. This will be achieved also thanks to partnerships with the most excellent professionals in the territory and through assimilation of design culture. Important will also be the introduction of specialised gemmological technique elements.

The First Level Master’s Degree Program in Jewellery offers 60 ECTS Credits and is internationally valid, since recognised by the Italian Ministry of Education, Universities and Research.

Professional Opportunities

Designer for High End Jewelry, Fashion and Luxury Markets.

The Master’s degree approaches all of the tecniques and different working methods of Jewelry and Bijou Craftsmanship. This is achieved through the analysis of the creative process from the product design, to the material research, technology and market analysis. Students will be able to design with free hand and with rhinoceros and able to develop complete jewelry and bijou collections.

To Whom

The course is addressed to whomever possesses a basic knowledge in the field, or those who hold a undergraduate Bachelor’s Degree or a Graduate Degree or to whomever wishes to enhance and/or complete their cultural and professional competences in the Jewelry design field, from creation to final manufacturing. All of the above mentioned categories have different admission procedures. Please refer to our Admission page for all of the details. Acceptance to the course is subordinated to a preliminary examination to evaluate the student’s technical-artistic skills.
